Cody Shaw

Cody Shaw was born and raised in Forest, Mississippi, where his family owned a small
hunting and fishing business. Surrounded by the outdoors from an early age, Cody
developed a lifelong passion for land, wildlife, and the experiences that come with being
outside.
Before graduating from Forest High School, Cody earned the prestigious Eagle Scout
Award, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. His scouting years were spent
learning leadership, discipline, and respect for the outdoors—including a two-week
hiking expedition in the mountains of New Mexico.
Cody continued his education at East Central Community College before earning his
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Southern Mississippi. He
went on to Mississippi College, where he served as a Graduate Assistant while
completing his Master’s degree in Athletic Administration.
While finishing graduate school, Cody married his high school sweetheart, Brittany, and
together they built a life in Pearl River County, Mississippi. For nearly a decade, Cody
worked as an athletic trainer at Pearl River Community College. In 2021, after
welcoming their first child, the family returned to central Mississippi and now resides in
Brandon. Cody currently serves as the full-time athletic trainer at East Rankin Academy
and Pisgah High School with Performance Therapy.
When he’s not working, Cody and his family spend much of their time traveling,
camping, and enjoying the outdoors—instilling in their children the same appreciation
for nature that shaped his own life. As his kids grow, Cody looks forward to introducing
them to hunting and outdoor traditions just as he experienced growing up.
